The Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists is made up of working-class folks whose passion is the great outdoors. We know and share your love of the outdoors and fight daily to protect your rights and opportunities. While many special interest groups represent specific individual interests, we represent all sportsmen and sportswomen’s interests to ensure you can pursue your passions.
We provide leadership, education, and advocacy for our outdoor heritage of hunting, trapping, angling, boating, shooting sports, the 2nd Amendment, and our natural resources with a constant presence on Capitol Hill on behalf of sportsmen, sportswomen, and conservationists.
Because numbers matter in the world of politics, the strength and direction of our organization come from our grassroots members — approximately 70,000 individuals and affiliated clubs, made up of hunters, anglers, trappers, archers, conservationists, and other outdoor enthusiasts across Pennsylvania.
More individual voices lead to a louder collective voice when we go to our politicians on issues affecting your rights and privileges. We may not have the deep pockets our opponents bring to the table, but we do come with passionate supporters and credibility. Organizing our affiliated clubs and individual members under the umbrella of one organization is a force multiplier and creates optimum influence and protection for all.
Like all membership-driven organizations, we rely on membership dues for financial support and volunteer efforts for membership drives, fundraising, and soliciting donations. We operate with an all-volunteer board of officers, directors, and delegates who often take money from their own pockets to represent you and attend meetings and events.
We hold two semi-annual conferences (March and September) as well as regional (divisions) and county meetings throughout the year, providing an extensive network of hunting, fishing, trapping, shooting clubs, and individuals across Pennsylvania keeping an eye on the issues for you.

To protect and conserve Pennsylvania's natural resources, outdoor heritage, and 2nd Amendment rights

To continue to be recognized as the premier voice for conservation and our outdoor heritage in Pennsylvania
We believe all wildlife management should be based on science-led, resource-first management established in the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. We must strive for opportunity optimization if we want to optimize participation. We oppose legislative attempts to micro-manage wildlife/aquatic seasons and bags/creel limits. Resource management decisions should be managed by subject matter experts, not based on an emotional or political whim.
Conservation Funding is Under Serious Threat
Pennsylvanians need a solid PFSC to defend and protect the already limited funds required to maintain necessary habitat improvement projects, conservation efforts, and other projects that ensure we all have access to our favorite wild places.
The anti-hunting and anti-gun supporters have fragmented us into small groups. Divide and conquer is a time-tested strategy that works because when we are separated into different interest groups and not united, we can’t afford to fight back against the political punches thrown at us.
We must create the most influential grassroots effort that supports science-based wildlife, fisheries, and habitat management. We want to ensure our legislators and regulators always consider the resource FIRST. And we want management decisions made by subject matter experts, not based on an emotional or political whim.
While our Director of Government Affairs Mike Kriner is leading and organizing the charge in Harrisburg to represent sportsmen’s interests, we still need you to ensure your legislators know your views on issues.
